Mobility solutions specialist, easytrip, Ireland’s only electronic parking and tolling tag provider, has announced the addition of Q-Park Ormonde Street car park in Kilkenny city to its car parking portfolio.

The easytrip car parking service offers cash-free electronic parking to easytrip tag customers through the use of their tag.  The easytrip tag is scanned on entry and exit to the car park, with no need to take a ticket or queue at the paying station, and the fee is then automatically deducted from the tag holder’s account.

Commenting on the announcement, CEO of easytrip Ireland, Colin Delaney said: “The Ormonde Street car park is the first car park in Kilkenny to get our parking service and we’re delighted to be bringing this convenient and hassle-free service to the city.  The car park is ideally located near Kilkenny Castle, the Design Centre and within easy access to all that Kilkenny city has to offer.”

Q-Park Ormonde Street car park in Kilkenny brings the easytrip car park portfolio to a total of 27 car park locations covering Dublin, Belfast, Cork, Galway, Kilkenny, Limerick and Waterford.  Easytrip customers in Kilkenny who have activated the parking service on their easytrip account can now enter the car park and benefit from ease of access and exit without the need to take a ticket. The car park offers 800 car spaces and is open from 7am to 11pm Monday to Thursday including Sundays, from 7am to midnight on Fridays, and from 7am to 2am on Saturdays.
