HOW DOES IT WORK?

How the parking tag works

Simply add Parking to your easytrip account (only €1.50 a month)

Once activated, you’re all set and good to go.

Just drive to the barrier and don’t take a ticket.

When you enter & exit the car parks, the barriers will read your tag and lift automatically. You don’t need to take a ticket or pay cash.

You can use this service by downloading our Easytrip app and activating the service in your account. The app can be downloaded here for Android and here for iOS.

You can use your toll tag and app to park in any location Easytrip Parking location nationwide. See the list of locations on our map above.

If you use your tag or the Easytrip app, the parking tariffs you use will be charged to your Easytrip account.

App Parking is only 50c per month. To have parking on your tag, the cost is €1.50 per month. To include app parking the total monthly charge is €1.99 a month. Parking tariffs vary by location, your location and length of time will determine how much is charged to your account for parking.

No, nothing needs to be displayed in your window. For on-street parking, your registration will be registered digitally at your chosen location.

If you’re already an Easytrip customer, you can log in to your account via our website or app and add this service to your account. If you’re not yet an Easytrip customer, you can sign up here.

Approach the entrance slowly in order to allow your tag to read. If the parking service is enabled on your tag, your tag is correctly installed on the windscreen and your account is in credit, the barrier will lift and you may proceed. There is no need to take a ticket.

It is important that you follow the instructions below:

  • Do not wave your tag by holding it in your hand.
  • On exiting the car park do not proceed past the ticket machine until the barrier has lifted
  • Do not tailgate the vehicle in front

If you take a ticket then your easytrip transaction will be automatically cancelled and your account will not be charged. You will have to pay for your parking at the ticket machine before you leave the car park.

Your tag beeps to indicate that your tag, once activated, can be used to automatically pay car parking charges in that car park. If you have any questions in relation to your tag beeping in the car park please Contact Us.

Yes, all car parks that accept easytrip will have signage to indicate that easytrip tags are accepted as payment.

In the unlikely event that your easytrip tag does not read at the entrance please check the following:

  • Is your tag correctly installed?
  • Do you have sufficient credit on your account?
  • Have you enabled car parking on your tag?

If the barrier does not lift at the exit but it lifted at the entrance, you will need to press the intercom button to inform the parking host. You will have to quote your tag number which you can find underneath the bar code on your tag. Please do not leave the car park without giving the parking host your tag number.
