Friday, 17th March marks St Patrick’s Day and it is approaching fast. It is a day out with friends and family for a trip into town to see the parade. But with this there is inevitably going to be logistical concerns with the extra crowds descending to the city.

One of these hurdles is finding a parking spot. As you know, your easytrip tag works in most major car parks in Ireland, so if you are heading to one of the parades, don’t forget to activate parking on your tag and not have to worry about cash or queues.

Visit this link to see the list of all the places you can park at during the festival with your easytrip tag.

We have also compiled a list of our top 5 tips to ensure you get the most out of the St. Patrick’s Day parade:

  1. Do your research– Know the start time, route and finish time to ensure you get in for what you want to see and at the location that is most convenient.
  2. Dress appropriately– Knowing the Irish weather it could be a scorcher, cold or raining so make sure you layer up and bring a poncho, rain jacket or umbrella. Also, don’t forget to wear something green in celebration of the day!
  3. Choose your mode of transport– Public transport can be stressful and busy on the day so driving is a good option. The easytrip car parking service offers ‘hassle free’ electronic parking through the use of the easytrip electronic tag. The easytrip tag is scanned on entry and exit to the car park, with no need to take a ticket or queue at the paying station. The fee is then automatically deducted from the tag holder’s account.
  4. Bring snacks– The city will be busy so if you have snacks of your own you won’t have to deal with a famished family whilst looking for somewhere comfortable and convenient to eat.
  5. Enjoy the day – And last but not the least, this day only comes once a year, so be sure to enjoy the frivolity and spirit of the day!
