Expat Insurance FAQ’s

Full licenses from Ireland, EU, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, Japan, USA & Canada. The only provisional license accepted is Ireland.

There is a minimum vehicle value of €1,500 and a maximum of €100,000. For drivers under 25 years of age, the maximum value is €50,000.

The deductible is up to you and ranges from €150 to €500. It applies to the entire policy including third-party damage and third-party injury, and any costs or fees that result from investigating an incident or alleged incident or defending any action against the Clements-insured driver.

The policy allows for 4 named drivers per policy in addition to the policyholder. Premiums are calculated on the highest-rated driver.

The policy does not cover driving other cars.

Breakage of glass cover is available as a supplement for an additional premium of €40. The indemnity limit is €400 per policy term provided that an approved repairer is used. Each claim is subject to an excess of €50. If the glass is replaced by a non-approved repairer, maximum cover is restricted to €250 per policy term.
