How do I pay for easytrip?easytrip pays your toll and parking fee on your behalf to the toll plaza and car park operator, and then deduct them from your easytrip account. easytrip accounts are prepaid accounts and you are in control:
You can choose to pay by Direct Debit, Debit Card, Laser Card or Credit Card. In return for providing automatic payment of your toll and parking fees, easytrip charges a monthly fee which depends on the number of tags on your account, your chosen service (toll and / or parking), and purchased or hired tags. Monthly fees start for as little as €0.62. I have an easytrip account, how can I add the parking service?Parking’s a pleasure with easytrip so we’ve made it easy for you to avail of the service. To add the parking service to any of your class 2 or 5 vehicles, please login to your account online using your account number and password and select the Add Parking button. Alternatively you can call our 24 hours service line, select option 1 for existing customers, and then option 3 to activate the service. You will need to enter your account number to proceed with the activation.
So what’s Eazy Pass?Eazy Pass is the old name for easytrip. Eazy Pass issued tags for use at West-Link, East-Link and the M1 from 2001 to 2008. In 2008, etrip, another tag issuer on the market, acquired Eazy Pass from National Tolls Roads and the two companies were merged to form easytrip. From 2008, all Eazy Pass customers discovered the benefits of being now part of easytrip. Not only did they continue to avail of automatic payment on all toll roads nationwide, including the new M50 barrier-free toll, but they also had the opportunity to register for the parking service.
How do I pay for the M50 toll?The M50 is now a free flow system between Junction 6 Blanchardstown and Junction 7 Palmerstown/ Lucan. It is operated by eFlow on behalf of the National Roads Authority. There is no plaza across the roadway. Instead overhead gantries have a camera system and beacons for reading electronic tags. As you drive through, the camera system reads your licence plate and the beacons read your electronic tag if you have one. There are 3 different ways to pay your toll now that there is no facility to pay cash on the road.
What are the differences between easytrip and eFlow?eFlow operates the M50 barrier free tolling on behalf of the National Roads Authority. easytrip doesn’t operate any toll plaza and is an independent tag issuer. easytrip customers can use their tags to pay their tolls at all plazas nationwide, and in 17 car parks nationwide. Recently, easytrip has extended its parking service to eFlow tag customers. To avail of the parking service, eFlow tag customers have to register an account with easytrip. |
